Welcome back!

Hey all…

Just stumbled upon a great RPG/writing resource that lists between 25-35 different random generators for a variety of things, including, but not limited to:

  • Female names (French, Japanese)
  • Male names (French, Japanese)
  • Medieval Names
  • Trendy Names
  • Gnomish Names
  • And a variety of other name generators

And then there’s these lovely numbers:

  • Detailed Character Generator
  • Character Description Generator
  • Place Name Generator
  • City Generator
  • Chinese Restaurant Name Generator (love this one)
  • Fictional War Generation (really!)
  • Cuss-o-matic
  • Plot Twist Generator

And many others…

This lovely resource is here… Check it out! I’ll also be adding it to my resources link list…

Until next time…

Hi all!

Jason Adams (the Rogue Artist), who has been so great during the artwork process of the Core Rules book, also has redone the Moebius Adventures logo. I’ve updated the CafePress shop to showcase two of the logos he did. I think it’s pretty cool and plan on ordering some products to proudly show my “Moebius Love” soon.

Have a great day!

Hi all!

The Moebius Adventures Core Rules book will be released by the end of November into the wild. Who will capture this beast? Playtesters around the world are providing their comments for consideration… The Rogue Artist is putting the final touches on the cover… And soon it will all be handed off to Lulu for publishing.

A monumental first step for Moebius Adventures’ resurrection! Like a Phoenix from the ashes, we hope this book will fly!

More coming soon, including pricing, a sample of the cover, and how to get your hands on the book.

Readers of the blog or forums, if they register, will get a discount on their first purchase!

Thanks!

Hi all!

Thanks to the nice folks at RPGNow (Thanks Zack!), Moebius Adventures has been set up to start distributing eBooks via the RPGNow/DriveThruRPGs program associated with RPG.net.

Sometime within the next 30 days, I expect to have a number of books available via RPNow, including:

  • Moebius Adventures Roleplaying Game Core Rules (pay PDF)
  • Moebius Adventures RPG Quick Reference (free PDF)
  • Moebius Adventures Core Rules Character Sheet (free PDF)
  • Moebius Adventures Module – The Brigade (free PDF)

After that, I hope to have a follow-on module available for sale to The Brigade, and then will have either Covert Directives or the Age of Phaedrus: The Heroes available with their various pieces as well.

So this is great news. Again, thanks to Zack at OneBookShelf (the parent of RPGNow/DriveThruRPG) and we’ll get this party started very soon!

Have a great weekend!

RSS Feeds fixed

Hi all…

Just wanted you to know that 1&1 got the blog’s RSS feeds working again today, so hopefully we’ll have uninterrupted RSS news for a while. Keep track of the playtesting discussion over at the forums and if you have any comments on playtesting, don’t hesitate to drop me a note on the blog, forums, or over e-mail.

Thanks!

Hi all…

Just thought I’d let everyone know that there’s a good discussion going on on the Forums around playtesting the character creation rules.

Check it out here and weigh in if you’re interested!

Hi all…

I’ve posted a summary of how the 1st playtest in Colorado Springs went last night. Was a little disappointed by the lack of attendance, but it was still useful in that we went through some combats and chatted a bit. You can find the summary on the forum at:

http://forums.moebiusadventures.com/viewtopic.php?t=7

Check it out and let me know what everyone thinks.

Thanks for your help!

Hi all…

I’ve added RSS feeds to the forums to help try and keep abreast of new posts, etc., while we playtest the Core Rules book…

Use this link: http://forums.moebiusadventures.com/smartfeed.php?feed_type=RSS2.0&limit=LF&sort_by=postdate

Or use this link to create your own RSS feed URL based on the forums you’re interested in:

http://forums.moebiusadventures.com/smartfeed_url.php

The RSS generation isn’t perfect, but hopefully it’ll help folks stay in touch with the forums.

Let me know what you guys think.

Thanks!

Hi all…

Just thought I’d pass along that I released draft 3.5 of the Core Rules book to the small cadre of playtesters who had shown interest. I’ll be very curious to see the results of this pass and hopefully only need to make minor tweaks based on suggestions, but who knows. I’m open to change.

Also still hoping to get this final draft completed by the end of October with artwork and cover and get it to Lulu for publishing of the review copy before we release it into the wild. But I’m getting very excited that we’re this far in the process after only a few months.

The Moebius Adventures game has sat dormant long enough. It’s time to show the world how cool some of this stuff is and get it into the hands of people who will enjoy it!

Have a great weekend and I’ll post results of tonight’s playtest in Colorado Springs and other playtest/review comments as they come in.

Thanks!
